This is what I'm listening to right now while putting away the dishes. Brook Benton recorded this song as well, but I like the slower version here with David Ruffin. I love it when he dips down into his lower register—great stuff!

ReplyDeleteDavid Ruffin was in The Temptations. He had a great, great voice but was a troubled soul and fell into addiction. I don't know much about Benton--only that I love his version of this song as well as Ruffin's. Sundays seem to be my Motown nights : )
