And here's my harvest of the year. Not much, but the kids and I already the rest. By the way, those peppers make some really hot salsa. They're much tamer than they look!

Yup, a pretty average year here, but my tomatoes got sick just when they were almost finished. Luckily the store cupboard is filled.
ReplyDeleteI had trouble with the tomatoes splitting as they ripened, which I guess was a result of inconsistent watering, or poor soil, or both.
DeleteIt was a bountiful year in my garden. I am still picking the last of my tomatoes and putting them in paper bags to ripen or just frying them up. It will all end on Sunday when the cold air and possible frost blows our way. It was a wonderful summer and a delightful fall - so far.

DeleteJust nipped over to Colleen Story. Love your picture. Amy, you look stunning. Today, I've spent quite a lot of time patching my poly tunnels up with Rhino tape (again). I grew some melons too - well, I planted some seeds in pots, turned them out into the soil in the tunnel when the plants were big enough and then left them to their own devices. They produced eleven melons so I was well chuffed.
