Talking Michael Pierce and . . . a giveaway!

Happy Friday! With a little rain, the temperatures have slowly fallen to a comfortable—less sweaty—level. However, the Midwest is still in a drought. And . . . AND . . . a few people were bitten by rattlesnakes hanging out in the coolness of lawn sprinklers. I don't know about you, but a rattlesnake coiled up in my front yard is pretty much the last thing I want to see when I go outside. "Snakes. I hate snakes."

But for today, let's forget all that. I'm being interviewed by the awesome Michael Pierce. We talk about The Soul Seekers including: why I chose the 1970's for a time setting, writing YA, and what kind of music inspired certain scenes. Hope to see you there

Thanks again, Michael, for the interview and review. 'Twas a lot of fun!

Also-and this might be added on and tweaked as time rolls—here's the basic idea for a giveaway. I want to keep it simple and easy, so basically to enter to win a copy of The Soul Seekers I want you to tweet one of the prefabbed lines below, or post it on Facebook. If you don't Twitter or Facebook, then go follow the Amazon book link on the sidebar and click the 'like' button to help me out. Okay, if you don't want to do ANY of that, then just leave a comment telling me how much you love the terrific taste of SPAM and how you'd put it in a dinner. That will make me happy.

  6. Dear Amy, so sorry but I don't have facebook or twitter and I'm not sure what to do with the Amazon info. As you can see, at 76, I'm technologically challenged. But I do wish you every success with your book and I hope to purchase it simply as a sign of solidarity between fellow writers! Peace.

  7. I really enjoyed this review and also the interview. Fascinating how you had those musical signs as you drove to the PO to submit your rewrite. I'm loving your blog tour, Amy!

  8. Thanks again, Amy! I'm so excited for the release of your book. I tweeted the "Please don’t squeeze The Soul Seekers!" one. It made me laugh. :)

  9. I'm not on Twitter and I don't like Facebook, so I went on Amazon and increased the Likes from 4 to 5. I will be happy to review it once I read it. I understand that Amazon reviews are important and I have done quite a few by now. I will get a Kindle soon so I can read all these books by my blogger friends for less money and also to keep the clutter away, now that I have purged my bookcases of over 100 books.
Anyway, Amy, I am so happy for you and looking forward to reading the book. Finally, thank you so much for your wonderful compliment about the pictures on my blog. Now you must let me know who Molly is. And give me a link to her blog. Thanks!

  10. I've given it a like on Amazon. I don't have many friends on Facebook and any book-type stuff I post seems to get lost in a void. Good luck with it! I'm hoping to read it soon, I enjoyed your interview. Thanks for following my blog.
