What about Lima beans? They're like chunky, powdery capsules with the flavor of ear wax. Yuck.
And Liver. Please. Why would we eat a body part meant to filter out toxins? And serve it with onions? Why not serve it with dirt and rotten egg shells? It's not going to taste better, so go ahead. I have enjoyed goose liver pate in the past, but only in tiny amounts, and that was a looooong time ago. My goose toxin filtering organ days are over.
Also, I hate custard.
And that's about it.
Yum. I like all the things you don't - in moderation.
ReplyDeleteWell, they're probably all very good for you. And many people love them too, like you do. I just . . . don't. I'm not even going to work on it.
ReplyDeleteI do like Prime Rib though.
I can't get enough oysters. My only no-no is Bread and Butter Pudding. Yuksville.
ReplyDeleteDon't knock what you haven't treid, Amy. Dirty Liver with eggshell crumble covered in custard is delicious. (Burp!)
ReplyDeleteI feel ill. Couldn't eat any of those Amy. Tinned pilchards in tomato sauce (gertch)is another. But I do like custard if it's not thick and lumpy.
ReplyDeleteThe only one I don't eat is oysters. All the rest, yes! Altho I rarely eat liver, I used to, and feed it to my kids. My daughter was at a restaurant this week for her birthday and ordered liver and onions with bacon.
ReplyDeleteKaren- bleck!
ReplyDeleteMolly- I know what you mean about the lumps.
Chris- NO WAY
Cro- The only thing worse than bread and butter pudding is bread and butter pickles.
I'm with you on the oysters and lima beans...but I enjoy a nice plate of liver and onions (not too often cause it can bring on the gout) and I like bread and butter pudding and bread and butter pickles.
